U-M Alums Lindsey Ungar and Steph Fox both teach indoor cycling at Flywheel and have graciously volunteered their time to host a special class for us, with all proceeds going towards our local club scholarship fund!
Your donation will be used to help deserving local students attend the University of Michigan – a choice that might otherwise be only a fantasy for qualified local students and their families when facing the prospects of paying out-of-state tuition for four years.
Here’s Steph’s description of what to expect from the class:
Flywheel is an indoor cycling group fitness class designed around high-intensity interval training and up-beat music. You can expect a full-body workout with a light upper body segment during the 45 minute class. All levels of fitness/experience are able to join, as the bike’s resistance and RPM is ultimately controlled by the rider, so you can workout to the level you desire! Along with your Michigan pride, please bring a water bottle (water fountain and towels are provided) and please arrive 15 minutes early to get set up with the studio.
The ride will be at Flywheel’s popular South Lake Union location, and we’ll scout out a nearby venue for those who might like to go out together for food and drink after the ride.
Participants will need to create an account at Flywheelsports.com before the ride.
When you click the Donate button below you’ll be allowed to enter a donation amount of your choice. The normal price for a Flywheel class is $30, so that is our suggested donation for this event. (Donations of larger amounts will, of course, be gratefully accepted!) If you’d like to donate, but won’t be available to ride (for whatever reason!), then please let us know that in the “Special Instructions to the Seller” field and we’ll use your donation to sponsor another alum who may be available to ride, but currently lack the discretionary funds for a donation!
One way or another we should have you covered, so click that big orange button below and make your donation today!
