Although all of us are now practicing healthful social distancing, and lack any certainty about when we will once again be able to gather together for public events, we are still hopeful, and dare we say, excited at the prospect of our Michigan football team visiting Seattle this fall for the much-anticipated season opener against the Huskies!
We have been in conversation with the Alumni Association in Ann Arbor and, for various reasons related to costs, the national organization is not planning on hosting any sort of tailgate here in Seattle before the game. However your local club has put down a deposit on one of the boats available for sailgating to Husky Stadium from North Lake Union, and we are now ready to start selling tickets to this pregame event.
A ticket entitles one person to a round-trip cruise from north Lake Union to Husky Stadium, as well as brunch aboard our privately chartered yacht. A cash bar will be available.
Alumni Association members can purchase tickets for $85 per person, and non-members can purchase tickets for $95.
Launch time for our yacht will depend on the game time, which has not yet been announced.
We only have 200 spots available for the cruise, and suspect that demand will eventually far outstrip supply, so we are limiting initial ticket sales to two tickets per person.
We are still planning on offering game tickets for sale once our group tickets become available later this year, but game tickets are not available at this time. Game tickets will be sold separately from Sailgate tickets, but a purchase of Sailgate tickets will entitle you to a higher priority chance to purchase game tickets, once those do become available.
If the game itself is canceled for any reason, then of course we will issue refunds for any Sailgate tickets purchased.
If you would like to purchase Sailgate tickets, and are not currently a member of the Alumni Association, then you can join today in order to secure your tickets. (If you do join, be sure to use “CLUB” in the promo code field, to maximize the funding provided to your local club in Seattle.)
